Travelling to Nigeria in 2026? Below are the latest Nigeria entry requirements, travel health guidance and available security services to help ensure a safe and smooth arrival experience.
International travellers arriving in Nigeria should ensure they meet the following requirements before departure:
Valid passport: All passengers travelling to Nigeria must hold a valid passport with at least six (6) months validity remaining from the date of arrival
Visa requirements: Most international travellers require a Nigerian entry visa before arrival unless they possess a valid Nigerian residence permit, including a CERPAC or Nigerian Green Card
Visit the official portal to obtain an eVisa: evisa.immigration.gov.ng
Digital Landing Card: Passengers entering Nigeria must complete a digital landing card within 72 hours before arrival using the Nigerian Immigration Service portal: https://lecard.immigration.gov.ng/
A digital exit card must also be completed within 72 hours before departing Nigeria
Yellow fever vaccination: passengers arriving from a country with a transmission risk will be required to present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate
Monkeypox (Mpox): While proof of Mpox vaccination is currently not mandatory for entry into Nigeria, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) recommends vaccination as part of broader public health measures
Travelers should consult their own government websites for the latest travel advisory updates prior to their departure, including any vaccinations that may be required.
